HATS, the HIV AIDS Test Screening software exists as a website application that is in it’s last phases of testing.
World AIDS day is on December 1st.
In the USA, it is estimated that 1,148,000 individuals are HIV + and AIDS has claimed 636,000 lives.
The challenge is that 20% of individuals who have HIV don’t know that they are infected. These people unknowingly account for almost 50% of all new infections
What is Medwiser doing? Medwiser has developed HATS–the HIV AIDS Test Screening Software.
The plan
Interested volunteers will get a personalized link to share the HATS application. Using social media such as Facebook, your job will be to post and instant message contacts to get as many people as possible to take HATS.
Tracking
Through your link we will be able to see how many individuals you contacted took the HATS survey.

Idea of the process:
Jack IM’s Jill “Hey Jill, what up.” “Can you take this survey for World AIDS day? It will only take a minute.” “What is it?” asks Jill. It’s for this volunteering thing I’m doing for a nonprofit called Medwiser says Jack. “You see, 1,148,000 individuals are HIV + in the USA. But 20% don’t know it. So this organization, Medwiser, made this educational software called HATS, that’s free. Can you take it? It will only take a minute. ” I don’t even know anything about this Medwiser, says Jill. Jack IM’s her the link to the video and says you can check out this funny video which explains everything. He also IMs Jill a link to HATS. Jill takes HATS. Jack asks her, hey Jill do you want to help out? Sure says Jill. How can I? Jack gives Jill his link and asks her to share it with others. Jack thanks her and starts to IM his next friend. He also posts the link to his Facebook page saying “I Just took the HATS survey. See for yourself and Help fight AIDS in 2 minutes! with the link attached.”
