HATS – Frequently Asked Questions
What is HATS?
HATS is the HIV AIDS Test Screening Software. It is a free web application that lets individuals know if they need an HIV test.
Does HATS tell me anything else?
In addition to HIV testing, HATS also lets individuals know if repeat HIV testing is needed, if STD testing should be considered or if post-exposure treatment might be an option.
Does HATS provide medical advice?
No. It is purely information that we hope will help provide you with relevant information that can assist you in making a more informed decision. However, it is not a substitute for a health care professional, advice, diagnosis or treatment. We recommend that you always visit or speak to a qualified health service provider, in person, prior to starting new treatment or with questions regarding a medical condition.
